CORE BELIEFS AND TENETS

* The Children of the Black Rose are, first and foremost, servants of the Infinite Dead and their Stewards, whom the masses call Gods. It is to them that our first allegiance is owed. We bow to no mortal government, corporation, or service, are friends to none, enemies to none.

* As servants of the Infinite Dead, in regards to the so-called Galactic Civil War, while lamentable, as all such constructs of fantasy are, we are to keep ourselves aloof, in keeping with our sole allegiance to the Infinite Dead.

* This above tenet is applicable to any and all wars and strife amongst the living. We are not to embroil ourselves in any conflict, nor entangle ourselves with any agreement, that would detract from our service to the Infinite Dead.

* That said, it is not above us to defend ourselves if attacked, nor to punish those who blaspheme against us or our Order or the Infinite Dead. However, we are to act only within the scope of necessity for the safety of ourselves, our Order, and the sanctity of the Infinite Dead.

* It matters not to which race your mortal coil belongs, nor which planet you call home, for all must one day join the ranks of the Infinite Dead, for Death comes to us all. Therefore, any such racial distinctions are constructs of fantasy and know no place among the Children of the Black Rose.

* Other Religions & The Force - As Servants of the Infinite Dead, we do not concern ourselves with matters related to the religious beliefs of the living. This includes the Force. Specifically in regards to the Force, and it's attendant varieties of belief, each individual must pursue their own relationship with, and understanding of, the Force.

* Government and Religious Law - As previously stated, we are beholden to no Government, but respect the laws of each Government within it's legal jurisdiction. This extends also to religious laws. HOWEVER, our Order will not recognize any jurisdiction where our beliefs and the basic rights of others are openly denigrated, and denounce any form of religious persecution in the strongest possible terms. Government has the right to legislate for the good of it's people and no more.

* The Home of the Order - In keeping with our ideal of universal service to the Infinite Dead our headquarters, or home as it were, is in the heart of each member of the Order. No living world is to be permitted the arrogance of calling itself the dwelling place of the Order, for we serve the Infinite Dead of all worlds equally and without prejudice.

* Property of the Order - There is to be no one pool of property belonging to the Order itself as a group, nor should any individual member of the Order overly concern themselves with the accumulation of property. For nothing material was ours in the beginning and neither shall it be in the end when we too join the ranks of the Infinite Dead.

CORE DOCTRINES

1. The Gods - We are not, necessarily, a theistic Faith, though we do not deny the existence of those entities the living refer to as "Gods". Naturally, some of these gods are of greater interest to our Order than others. While worship of these gods is not central to our Faith, believers are permitted to pursue the worship of such gods as do not interfere with their duty to the faith.

1a. The Gatekeeper - The Great IT, Watcher Over the Gates of Death, the Great Psychopomp, this deity has many Names but one core function, welcoming the living as they transition into the ranks of the Infinite Dead.

1b. The Reaper - The Reaper (also called The Collector) is, as it's name suggests, the collector of souls. It is unknown whether the Reaper is one, omnipresent deity, or a class of lesser entities. The Order has no official position on the matter.

1c. The Judge - The Judge is they who weighs the souls of the dead and apportions their lot. All else is speculation and futile, for beyond the realm of the Judge no living eye may discern, and it is folly to try.
